Hoglets craft: Make a toilet roll robot!

Here's how to do it at home. You will need: 

• A toilet roll
• Tinfoil
• A piece of blank paper
• Some felt tip pens
• 2 pipe cleaners
• A pair of scissors
• Glue
• 2 Googly eyes (optional)
• Beads (optional)

How to make your robot

1. Cut your tin foil to the size of your toilet roll, cover the roll in loads of glue and then stick the foil right around your roll, tuck and over hanging bits in.

2. Cut a small square of paper and using the pens,draw some coloured buttons.
This will be the robots control panel, stick the panel onto the Robots centre.

3. Pierce three holes into the robot's body, one on top of the robot's head, one one either side of the body for arms. Thread a piper cleaner through the head hole fold it in half and twist it upwards. If you have beads, thread them onto the top of your pipe cleaner antennae. Thread the the other pipe cleaner through the arm holes and twist on each side to keep in place

4. Finally stick on your googly eyes, if you don't have these you can draw eyes directly onto the robot. Then give your robot a nice big felt pen smile.
