The Tiger Who Came To Tea touring exhibition

Client: York Museums Trust / York Castle Museum

Activity: Devising, Content Creation, Workshop Delivery

What we did: We devised and delivered a two month series of live Family engagement activities for The York Museum’s Trust to support their hosting of the touring Tiger Who Came To Tea exhibition in 2022. As part of this we delivered tailored creative workshops for specific age-groups, including storytelling and drama, story writing and theme examination for older children. Gemma wrote also wrote five new stories to continue the Tiger’s adventures and hosted catered ‘Tea with the Tiger’ sessions within the exhibition itself, in which a vast amount of cake was eaten in the name of creativity.

Shakespeare Week - Active Storytelling Kit

Client: Shakespeare’s Birthplace Trust

Activity: Devising, Content creation, Training 

What we did: In 2022 we were commissioned to devise and create the Active Storytelling Kit content for Shakespeare’s Birthplace Trust’s annual Shakespeare Week. The kit included a child-accessible interpretation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream and related games, songs, activities and guides for teachers and librarians. It was distributed and utilised nationwide by schools and libraries. Gemma was particularly pleased to finally distribute her Bottom song nationally.

Children’s Health App content creation

Client: Little Journey

Activity: Content creation and Consultancy

What we did: In 2021 we worked with Little Journey to develop engaging and fun child-centric content to support their multi-award winning children’s healthcare app. The app is designed to support children and their families before, during and after healthcare interactions, reducing anxiety through the use of engaging, timely and relevant interactive content. Hoglets provided child-centric consultancy on how to integrate fun, engaging and age-specific content to areas of the app. There were also a lot of facts about animal poo.
